Hazel Lipa Chapbook Contest Winner

A Revised Account of the West by Derek Sheffield, with illustrations by Cori Dantini

We are honored to announce the winner of this contest, Derek Sheffield, whose book, A Revised Account of the West, is at once political and personal, touching on both the larger issues of environment and history of place, and the intimate details that surround one man's life. The chapbook is accompanied by collaborative illustrations by artist Cori Dantini. Cori's quirky work in silhouette respond to the poetry in ways that are unexpected but, somehow, also completely right. Her work was so exciting to the editorial staff it will appear on the cover of the magazine as well as the cover of the chapbook.
