We are honored to announce the Notes From the Field contest winner Cassandra Kircher, whose essay On Not Marrying a Ranger appears in the newest issue of Flyway. Cassandra Kircher teaches in the creative writing concentration at Elon University. Her essays and articles have appeared in The Journal of Southwest American Studies, Front Range Review, Ecofeminist Literary Criticism: Theory, Interpretation, Pedagogy and Interdisciplinary Studies in Literature and Environment, among others. She lives in Burlington, North Carolina with her husband and two daughters.
